I wanted to share a little bit of my process of painting bouquets. This one was the last that I painted, and you can order yours (or for a friend) at my shop
1. I start of identifying some flowers, so I can understand bouquet better. I'm not necessarily trying to make an exact copy of the photograph, but looking for a good composition.
2. Rough pencil sketch helping to understand shades and composition. I send this to a client upon a request.
3. Choosing my color pallet.
4. Starting a new light pencil sketch, and applying lighter shades of color. I use watercolor and gouache.
5. Adding medium tones, and darker shades.
